iPhone 16 Pro camera freezes, requires phone restart

Have had issues with camera freezing on iPhone 16 Pro (iOS Version 26.2.1) since I got the device over a year ago.

Camera opens up and is usable immediately after restart, but eventually (after several opens) it begins freezing and renders the camera unusable until it the entire phone is restarted again. Doesn't matter how the app is opened. Is not resolved with a simple camera restart - must restart the phone itself.

Storage is not the issue (has 50GB remaining). Camera is clean/debris free. Restarting is only a very temporary fix.

Was set up initially using my Apple ID with photos going back to 2014.

Is there a fix for this or am I just out of luck?

Sounds like a hardware issue. Do you have AppleCare?

You need to have Apple perform diagnostics on your iPhone. It can be done in person at an Apple Retail Store or at an Apple Authorized Service Provider. You can also contact Apple Support and request remote diagnostics.
