I bought a refurbished XR 4 days ago and just noticed that there’s a slight gap between the back glass and the frame on the bottom-ish left when the phone is resting on the screen.
While the other parts of the back glass are fine.
I’d like to know if there is any possibility that battery swelling can push out the back glass especially on just one part (bottom-ish left) of the entire device.
Hello~ That could be a possibility. Return that iPhone for a refund if you can. It will only be an issue and possibly an expensive one going forward. Good luck.

I went to the store I purchased it from, they said to use it for 2 days and see if any problem arises and if so come back.
Also where I live it 40C temperature as such the phone heats up quite a lot while charging and sometime even during moderate use.
Can it be the cause?
I noticed on many YT videos that its mostly the front display glass that is pushed out. Is the back glass bulge also very prevalent?
Can the back glass of the iPhone XR be pushed outwards due to swelling battery?
