For some reason the Contacts app requires over 1GB of storage on one Apple device, my iPad 5. On all the other devices which are all using icloud to sync, there is no issue. I have not been able to correct this seemingly uncomplicated issue and I have run out of time and patience to troubleshoot another icloud problem. Help?

I've had luck with a force restart for a similar issue. Press and very quickly release the volume up button, press and very quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the side button for about twenty seconds. When the Apple logo appears, release the button. The timing is a little tricky, so try it a few times.
Contacts app is huge on one device, can't fix!
