Safari tabs on quit

Hi there,

Using iphone for years and I never lost my tabs or tab groups when I completely closed the app. However, it is not the same on Safari on Macbook... How can I make my macbook safari work like iphone safari in this matter? Thanks!

You’ll indeed lose the tabs if you close Safari by clicking the red icon (top left of the window.) If you happen to do this, click History in the menu bar where you’ll find various options to reopen websites.

You could use the orange icon (top left) to minimize Safari and keep your tabs. Personally, I use Safari > Quit to close Safari (actually I use the keyboard shortcut command + Q.) Upon reopening, Safari will still show the opened tabs.
