Locked out of opening screen

I changed my password to get into my mac yesterday and can’t remember it. How can I get in?

I have tried a number of times and now my account is locked and squaring try again in 15 minutes but I have no idea what it is.

How can I reset Mac's password if locked out? So I haven’t gotten on my computer in a while and we are getting ready to move so I was going to log in and make sure it’s up to date before I pack it up. I tried to log in because I could not use my Touch ID because it had gotten unplugged and now I can not remember my password.
