MacBook Pro Controlling Celestron NexStar 130 SLT Telescope using Starry Night SE Software

I want to know how to set up my MacBook Pro 15” (running macOS 14.4.1) to control my Celestron NexStar 130 SLT Telescope using Starry Night SE Software provided by Celestron.

I have got as far as connecting the computer via it’s USB-C port to the telescope’s handset.

I get a communications error message when I try to use the Starry Night software to control the telescope.

I’m not sure if I should alter the IP address, this has been left at the default value. Is there any assistance anyone can provide?
