Not receiving Fitness notifications from friends

I used to receive fitness messages from friends when they'd react to me reaching my goals, but since getting a new phone number I don't receive anything from friends. I can respond to the notifications that come across saying they've reached their goals, and they receive the message, but when they respond to one from my watch I never receive it.

I've tried to see if my old number is anywhere on my account, and I just can't figure out what is wrong. I don't want to lose any of my data from my watch. It's been over a year and I can't figure it out.

I also still have the physical SIM card from my old number in my phone, my new number is an eSIM, not sure if this could be messing with things as well.
