I am trying to use Mainstage for both backing tracks and for keyboard sounds.
I want the ability to change keyboard sounds during each song without manually clicking within the program.
Ideally automatically (at certain times of the song) - but if that's not possible than via my midi keyboard.
Is this possible?

Does your MIDI keyboard have buttons on it? Maybe tell us the make/model?
If not, you could assign a certain key to press which you would not use during your playing.
