Is an email to my iCloud saying my iCloud was hacked legitimate?

checked my iCloud junk randomly and it says my iCloud email was hacked.

There is a good reason why the email as in your Junk folder.


It is a scam that is trying to trick you into buying useless software or worse......trying to get you to reveal personal details like your Apple ID and password, etc.


Delete the email and any others like it that you might receive. Scams are everywhere.

I’d get that iPhone 11 up to iOS 17, if you’re at all concerned about security.


I’d get two-factor authentication enabled if not already, too.


As for the mail? Spam. Ignore it. If your iCloud had been hacked, you’ll likely have lost access, lost data, had bricked devices, etc.
