I routinely get this block when using a link from a reputable email - not the same one - or a link on the internet from a site i know is valid. I can't see that i have any Mcafee on my computer searching app's or the finder. Any idea what's going on?
the actual full message is "blockpg-dock.safezone.mcafee.com is currently unable to handle this request."
I'm running Sonoma 14.4.1, and generally use Chrome.
Check with your internet provider. Some of them have an option on your account page to enable Safe Browsing which uses McAfee to verify web addresses. If you are unable to find it there, you can provide the name of your Internet Provider to see if others that may use it have come across that problem with them.
If not the Internet Provider, you can post the free EtreCheck report using the Additional Text option when posting to see if there are any remnants of McAfee installed on your computer. You may also want to see if you get the warning when using Safari on the same websites to see if it has anything to do with Chrome or the Extensions installed on it.
