My iPhone XR is not accepting my passcode suddenly

(i have an iPhone XR.) i was asleep but i fell asleep with my phone, while asleep my phone was under me. when i woke up, and went to use the bathroom with my phone, i put in the passcode as normal, but my password didn’t work? i was confused, and instead of the usual one minute my iPhone disabled for 5 minutes, so i waited and used my ipad for the time being. when my iPhone continued to turn on again, i put in my password once more, (for the record i’ve had this password for months) and it disabled again, this time for 15 minutes. i don’t know whats going on, but it’s ******* me off and i don’t know what to do which is even more aggravating.
