I have a late 2015 iMac running Monterey 12.6.7. It now has four hard drive partitions that I did not create. How do I eliminate the extra partitions and also, how do I know which ones to eliminate?

That is the normal layout for modern macOS drives. Don't touch them, if you do you will corrupt your system.

And no worry, they all can use the frre space.
View yours with this command in Terminal...
diskutil list
