I have an APPLE TV 3 GR just for use AIRPLAY with my MacBook and iPad. Now it’s not working the AirPlay. Researching here I found that one the best way to solve is resetting via USB- MICRO USB on Mac using a APP APPLE CONFIGURATOR. When I plugged my Apple TV, the device doesn’t appear. I tried 3 other cables and adaptors. How can o solve this? Any cable with micro USB to USB should work or I need a specific cable?
Restoring through a computer connected through USB, is only needed if resetting on the device itself is not accessible (e.g. when the device doesn’t start up properly).
↳ The Apple TV (3rd generation) [A1427 or A1469] needs to be powered at the indicated moment (step 4).
↳ The USB cable needs to support generic data transfer. Not all do that. Some bundled USB cables are customized for a certain device only, or are for charging or power only.
The Apple Configurator app is normally not needed for resetting or restoring. Although it can be helpful if it reports that “Activation failed” [253315520 by RKG61]. Activation with an Apple ID is a requirement for AirPlay support.
Now it’s not working the AirPlay.
Note that AirPlay support differs by content or app. Not everything can be streamed using AirPlay.

- Some services require a receiving device that supports AirPlay 2 — which Apple TV (3rd generation) does not qualify for.
- Some services support AirPlay for their mobile app, but not from a website on a Mac.
- Services and apps can change their system requirements at any time. Supporting Apple TV (3rd generation) is extra work for them, and with diminishing numbers of this device model, it may no longer be worth the effort for some companies.

APPLE TV 3 GR AIRPLAY DOES NOT WORK AND I CANT PLUG APPLE TV BOX INTO MAC
