My beats flex wont connect with my iphone

It started out in the morning with me listening to Taylor Swift's new album and my Beats Flex were connected and working just fine. Later, when I got in the car I tried to continue listening but I couldn't hear the music. I noticed that the volume did not have the beats logo on it which meant they weren't connected. I looked in settings and it said the beats were dead. I turned them off and then back on and they were at 90 percent. I was confuzzled because even though my phone said my beats were connected, they weren't actually connected and when I tried playing music it just came through my phone's speakers. Do I have to get new earbuds? Can I fix my Beats Flex?
