Issues with the use of "Desktops" on macOS (rearrangement of the "desktop" order by the OS)
One of the things that I've found most useful in MacOS is the "Desktops" utility, that allows multiple desktop windows open at any given time. (I'm amazed how few people know this is possible.) It's not unusual for me to have a dozen desktops open at any given time. Depending on the task at hand, they may be for specific applications, for different files within a given application, or any for other such variety of purposes. Regardless the purpose, the current set of "desktops" is precisely arranged to make the task(s) at hand easiest to perform in a streamlined manor. At the very least, it allows one to make efficient use of multiple apps and/or files without making you feel as though you're playing a game of "Fifty-Two Pickup".
Recently (or maybe not so recently), I've noticed that the order frequently (and unexpectedly) changes for no logical reason that I can figure. If I only have a few open, it's not that big of an issue. But when I'm using upwards of a dozen or so, it is incredibly frustrating!
Has anyone else noticed this... or does anyone have an idea what might be causing it? I'd appreciate any thoughts and/or suggestions.
