iPad Pro 12.9 Gen 4 not connecting to Mac or Windows PC

So my 2 year old iPad Pro 12.9 stopped charging, I got the USB C port changed but it would only charge with a genuine Apple cable. I updated the iOS but something must have happened as it will no boot since. I can do a hard reboot but it sits with the apple logo. I have tried to put it into Recovery Mode or DFU but because it isn't recognised by my Mac or itunes on a PC, I cannot restore it with a new iOS copy. I now have a 2 year old £1500 paper weight. Not happy!!!

Was the iPad repaired by Apple or an Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP), or a third-party repairer?

Be aware that Apple does not supply OEM components outside of its own network of AASPs. If repaired by a third-party, you will have forfeited any future repair assistance from Apple. Either way, you may need to seek assistance from whoever "repaired" your iPad.

If your iPad isn’t recognised by your computer when connected to it, try using a different USB port. If your computer has both USB-C and USB Type-A ports, you may have more success using a USB Type-A port.
