2017 MacBook Air gets really hot while charging.

I have a 2017 MacBook Air i7, 8GB Ram. Whenever I charge the MacBook it gets really hot on the bottom in a big area and I don’t know why. I’ve never had this problem when I first got it but it recently started to get hot. In the picture provided in the yellow shaded area is where the heat is. Is there a fix? I am using an official MagSafe charger as well.

There's a real good chance your Mac's battery is nearing the end of its lifespan. (Seven years is pretty good, actually).

Have you checked your battery's health in System Preferences? Apple menu-->System Preferences (Settings) -->Battery.
