Managing photos, duplicate photos & albums...
Is there a way I can select a lot of photos & put them in an album at the same time?
One at a time is rather tedious! Also, what about good program for weeding out duplicates?

Two ways- to select individual pictures only, hold Command (⌘) and click on the desired photos. To select a string of pictures, select the first picture you want, then hold Shift and select the last picture you want.
Also, what about good program for weeding out duplicates?
If they're exact duplicates, you can do it in Photos - Remove duplicate photos in Photos on Mac - Apple Support
If they're just very similar photos, Photosweeper works well and has a free trial. This one is nice because it doesn't permanently delete photos immediately, just puts them in the Trash for the user to delete after review.
