Only time will tell. If you take it to the Apple Store, there is a possibility that it tripped the water detection strips that are inside and they will need to perform a repair even if other damage had not been done. I am not against having them check it out, but expect a charge if those Liquid Contact Indicators detected the water.

Letting the water evaporate by not charging or using your computer for a day is the approach I would take. At least it was not soda or coffee.

If the water is regular tap water or even bottled water, it will contain minerals that remain when the water evaporates leaving a deposit. The fact that it was dissolved in water means that it can possibly attract water from humidity in the air and over time the cycle could eventually corrode something. If the water found its way to a sensitive area, eventually something catastrophic could happen. If not, it may never have an effect.

So basically the decision is to spend a not too insignificant fee to have it checked out or just let it ride until something happens if ever.

I just found out that in reality it was only 5-8ml of water and it was pure water no minerals 99.9% pure water, now my question is that is it going to be fine or is it gonna break down? is it normal to feel the right side of the trackpad less sensitive by abit when moving the cursor? and it feels different to click compared to the ones i tried at the store. Thanks!
