External Microphone isn't getting detected

I am trying to connect my Celest Wyvern Pro iem (it uses a 3.5mm trrs jack) to my mac book, the output audio is working just fine but the input is still internal microphone and it isnt detecting the external microphone.


Here are the specs of the audio device I am using:


Plug:3.5mm

Drivers:10mm LCP Diaphragm Dynamic Driver

Interface:0.78mm 2pin

Sensitivity:105db

Wearing Type:In-ear

Frequency Response Range:20Hz-20kHz

Impedance:32Ω

Cable Length:1.25m



The macbook I am using is MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012) [macOS catalina]

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

Check the connection, adjust audio settings, restart your Mac, or reset PRAM and SMC. If the issue persists, connect the microphone to another device to test its functionality. If it works on another device, contact Apple Support for further repair.
