Microphone problems while recording video via the native app.

During video recording via the Camera application, the sound is muffled. When recording videos through the Instagram app, the sound is clear and perfect. I checked the sound recording through the application "dictaphone", the sound is also perfect. The problem is with the native Camera application. How to solve this problem?

Can I adjust the audio gain when using an external microphone with the camera app? (iPhone 15, iOS 18) I have a Sennheiser MKE 200 external microphone connected to my iPhone 15 via an Apple 3.5 TRRS-to-USBc adapter. When recording video with the Camera app, the audio volume is too low. One recording app (Voice Recorder) allows me to adjust the microphone gain from within the app, but apparently not the Apple Camera app? Most online sources say, "to adjust the Mic Settings: Go to Settings > Microphone and adjust the mic settings" but in iOS 18, I cannot find any setting for "Microphone" under any menu. Is there any way to increase the audio input gain, at the iOS level, or system-wide, so video recorded with the Camera App will have louder audio? Thank you, -gw

audio muffled only on camera app Ive got the 2020 Iphone SE, whenever I try and record a video with the Iphone Camera app it sounds muffled, but when I record using Snapchat it sounds completely fine, no muffling. i’ve gone through all the settings and i cannot seem to find the reason on why the Camera app is muffled and not the other apps (e.g snapchat, instagram) if anyone knows a fix on how to unmuffle the sound on the camera app please respond.
