MacBook Pro 13 2018 showing no charge symbol on start up but has charge

Hi

Please could someone help, since updating to Sonoma I'm having this issue sometimes when I try to turn on my MacBook I get the no charge symbol flash up despite having a decent charge left, I then have to plug it in for it to start up.

The symbol flashed up today so I plugged it in and it started up but when I logged in the MacBook has 75% charge.

I've tried the SMC reset thing and that doesn't seem to have made any difference.

I know the MacBook is pretty old now so maybe needs a new battery but it was working fine before.
