I can't edit new files in my pages app any more for instance: adding or deleting text, changing text colour, etc. etc.
This has only just happened recently and any existing files i have i am still able to edit.
I suspect it's after a typical annoying Apple update that alters or deletes lots of features.
Perhaps someone from Apple can fix this or at least shed some light as why this has happened.
iPad mini, iOS 12
I only have the iPad 5 with iOS 16.7.7 and Pages v14 and have no issues. I do have iOS 17.4.1 and Pages v14 on my iPhone 15 Pro Max and have not experienced any mentioned issues. I use both local and iCloud Drive storage for Pages and it all just works for me on either of my devices.
Are you using non-Apple cloud storage?
Your iPad 8th gen can be upgraded to iPadOS 17.4.1 and Pages v14 for iPadOS. Have you done that and the problems you describe continue?
It was after the 17.4.1 update that the problem started. Pages is v14

Interesting what you say about your iphone, i'll have to see if pages works on my wife's iphone.
