Find My

I attempted to upgrade my i-phone 14 to an i-phone 15+ with my service provider, Spectrum, today. When we attempted to turn off "FindMy" the feature which is turned on could not be turned off. The slider button is ghosted out and would not allow for the feature to be turned off. Anyone know why FindMy couldn't be turned off and the app rendered diabled?

tmcenaney ~ With iOS 17.3, Apple introduced a security delay as a part of Stolen Device Protection, which requires users to wait an extra hour before FindMy can be disabled when away from significant locations. It is a feature that prevents unauthorized users from changing the user's password or accessing critical data.
