format sequence list ( apple Numbers Question )

How to format a list and then you can drag down and it will automatic follow the sequence?

eg: when you type monday, tuesday then you can drag down and it will automatic be wed, thur, fri.

I want to find out if you can set up a list, let's call, blue yellow red green.

and everytime I type blue, yellow then I just drag down and It will have red, green....?

if you know a YouTube vid or what I have to type to search this info that will be helpful. thank you

It will only do that for sequences that Numbers is programmed to recognize (days of week, numeric sequences, and whatever else). For others, you have to select all the cells in the pattern before you drag down.

If you have Red, Green, and Blue in three cells in a column, select all three then drag down. But if Numbers sees a numeric pattern like A1, A2, A3, it will continue to increment the number instead of repeating the pattern. For that, you would have to enter the pattern twice, select all six cells, then fill down.
