how do I convert windows media player files to itun

I have650 some albums on windows media player I would like to have on iTunes how do I do it

What format are the albums in?


iTunes can play many types of music file so if the music is in (for example) MP3, you don't need to convert it. Simply tell iTunes where the files are located. You do that by using iTunes' top bar menu File/Add Folder to Library and then navigate to (but don't go into) the folder.


One format that iTunes doesn't handle is .flac, but that is a high quality format that you probably haven't used.
