Apple Watch not unlocking Macbook Pro running Sonoma. Again.

Sonoma 17.4.1, running on 2023 Macbook pro. Apple watch Ultra (first version) running watchos 10.4.

Once again, the watch has stopped unlocking the mac. The troubleshooting steps listed on apples official page about this DO NOT WORK. This happened before, a few weeks ago, and at that time I found a weird convoluted bunch of steps that got it working again, at least for a while, but can't find them easily this time.

Apple Watch Ultra, watchOS 10

Fork me. It was in airplane mode. It'll never work like that. I normally use my watch to toggle airplane mode on both my watch and iphone, which I use a lot because I'm in the music business, but this time I had turned off airplane mode on my phone, so assumed it was also off on my watch, but for some reason it didn't get turned off. My mistake, NVM.
