macbook screen crack may cause keyboard wire not reacting?

my macbook model A1989 was previously dropped and it left a crack at the bottom of the screen, around next to the 'macbook pro' area. recently, the crack has gotten larger and my macbook keyboard has started to not work (e.g when I click function, the touchbar changes to the functions f1, f2 etc. but now when I click on function the functions doesn't come out, or when i click on other keys, it has no reaction) however, apart from the keyboard, the touchbar still works.

could the crack have cause some wires to loosen up behind the screen that causes the issue? if yes, how do I fix it?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 14.1
