Case recommendations with grippy sides?

So I've been looking for a good case with actual grip for my 15 Pro Max and wanted to see what others were using. It seems like these days hard slippery plastic with dimples passes as "extreme grip!".

I'm currently using the Otterbox Defender XT, and it's super grippy (perhaps even too grippy) but it's also very bulky. I don't really want to do the silicone case option, but I want something with very good side grip. I've tried several popular options that are claimed to be grippy and was not impressed, if the grip on the otterbox defender XT is a 10, everything else I've tried is like a 4 or worse. Most are no better than the bare iphone. Including:

Smartfish Gripzilla......it's just dimpled hard plastic.....not grippy at all

Spigen Ultra Hybrid, not even remotely grippy

Rebel Clear, this is the only other case I'd even consider grippy and it's still not really grippy, great buttons though!

Mous Limitless 5.0......slippery, no grip, nice case though

Nomad Rugged.....great case, but almost no camera protection and you guessed it, slippery.

The TPU stuff they are using now must be cheap for the manufacturer, cause it sure doesn't provide any grip.

The search continues!
