Age restrictions did not end when I turned 17. How do I fix this?

When I got my phone my parents set age restrictions on my apps. Once I turned 17 though, they didn’t go away, I looked up how to get rid of them and it’s set to 17+ but it still doesn’t let me get apps. I’ve restarted my phone a bunch and it’s just not working help!

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

  1. Go to Settings > [your name].
  2. Tap Name, Phone Numbers, Email. You might need to enter your Apple ID password.
  3. Tap Change Birthday or Birthday.
  4. Update your birth date, then tap Done. If you're changing a birth date for a child, learn what to do.
