How can I fix the extremely low volume issue on Apple Music for LG G3 TV?

Same here, LG G1 TV, Denon receiver connected with HDMI ARC. Sometimes, when skipping a song in a playlist or replaying a song, the volume "jumps" to normal. Turning Dolby Atmos off in the app settings solves the issue

I was checking this out and it got the Dolby Atmos feature, it's set to automatic by default and not only affects the Dolby Atmos songs, but all of them. I have an Atmos capable soundbar, and it's like 1/3rd of the volume than having the setting off.

TLDR: Turn of Dolby Atmos in settings.

Turning off Dolby At is inside the Apple Music app fixed the low volume problem, thus it is clearly the Apple Music app on webOS that has the problem, not the TV.

not much point having Atmos if it doesn’t work.

Change atmos in the settings to disabled

I fixed the sound by turning off Dolby Atmos, but hopefully they get it fixed soon so I can have Dolby Atmos and loud music.

I just got apple music thru my tv LG 75" Class - QNED80 and I am having the same issue with my Marantz Cinema 40. Turning off atmos fixes the issue with low volume but no atmos 😭

Also there is no atmos either when using airplay or bluethoot 😭

I see this problem has been around for a long time and hasn't been fixed. I have an LG OLED65G1 and now a Yamaha RX-6A. I can connect an Apple TV 4k and it seems like Dolby Atmos works at the correct volume (-40dB). Why is it taking so long to fix the music app on LG?

If you are referring to the Atmos setting on the LG TV...Settings > Sound > Advanced Settings > Dolby Atmos (slider off) ?

I have an LG OLED G2 and it’s doing the same thing with my LG soundbar. Called support and they have no clue. They said some music is recorded lower so I just airplay it and don’t use the app anymore as a work around.

I thought maybe Sound, Advanced Settings, Automatic Volume Adjustment — which is like Sound Check — should be ON (for Atmos music only!) So, I turned it on in the LG Sound section. No change from Automatic Volume Adjustment being off. So, not it.

My Yamaha AVR is showing getting Atmos but it is weak compared to AM via ATV4K for sure.

It seems LG does not have it set up right. You can raise the volume, but that is no fun when done and back to TV. Plus a danger to hearing.

Even in August on my LG TV C4 the issue is the same. Audio output is halved when Dolby atmos is enabled.

Turned dolby atmos off for now to not be blasted when switching to another app.

Hope they bother fixing it and adding lossless audio to the tv app.

Just tried it on my LG CX with onkyo avr 7.1.4 setup and had the same problem. I’m really happy that they added Dolby Atmos support, but the music from Apple Music app is too quiet. The volume of my receiver need to by twice as high to get to level of volume of other apps.

I think this issue affects all LG C/G line owners, maybe orher models as well.

I have the C2 and if dolby atmos is enabled (automatic; off is the only other option) volume is super low, barely acceptable at 100.

We need normal volume for dolby atmos as well. Please fix it.
