There are several different ways, depending on what you want to count.


If you want count the number of cells with something in them you can select them and look at the COUNTA at the bottom of the window.


If you want the result in a cell you can drag the oval 'token' from the bottom into a cell and a formula will be inserted.


Or, depending on what you want, you enter one of the following functions into a cell.


COUNT - Apple Support

COUNTA - Apple Support

COUNTIF - Apple Support

COUNTIFS - Apple Support

COUNTBLANK - Apple Support
