Error occurs when trying to upload Playlists to cloud on Apple Music

I found a number of old CD's that I had made years ago. After converting to m4a files, I placed them in a new playlist on my Mac (running Sonoma). The playlists appear in Music, but don't appear to be uploading to the cloud. The cloud status says "waiting". When I click to update my library I get a message that says "Cloud music library can't be updated because Apple Music doesn't recognize your music library." It says to turn "sync library" off then back on. I've done that multiple times; it makes no difference. I'd like to be able to sync them to my phone, but since they're not uploading to the cloud, apparently that won't happen. I've tried signing out and back in, which also did nothing. Suggestions?

Hi,

Turning off sync and/ or signing out and back in usually works. Have you also tried rebooting your computer? If this does not work, try creating a new library and sign into Apple Music account.
