Is Microsoft Excel fully functional on a MacBook Pro?

Looking at purchasing a MacBook Pro for college finance major. I have read Excel is not fully functional on Macbook on older posts. Has this been corrected or is it not that big of a deal?

It's functional, as far as the Mac version is concerned. But, MS has been pretty slow at making the Office suite fully feature compatible with the Windows version. Heck, it doesn't, and has never included a Mac version of Access.

But, after looking around a bit, it seems the latest Windows/Mac versions are nearly identical. Still, it's not easy to find sites that will attempt to compare feature compatibility, and not just talk about simple things like Ctrl+V vs. Command+V.
