iPhone and Wallet do not sync and are unlikely to in the future. The privacy and security that Apple Pay offers do not permit syncing. Apple offers the ability to add payment methods to Apple Settings app on your iPad and it can be used for purchases online with websites and merchants that support Apple Pay. iPads lack the necessary hardware for supporting transactions at a physical location due to the lace of NFC (Near Field Communication).

One thing to remember is Apple does not control the payment methods that are added to Apple Wallet and Apple Settings apps. The cards are the property of banks and subject to bank approval and governmental regulations and requirements in the country or region they are issued in. Apple Wallet app, Apple Settings app, iPhone and iPad must meet the security and privacy requirements of the banks and regulating agencies.

I’m a former Apple Store manager and worked for Apple during the Steve Jobs era. Your comments about Mr Jobs are rude and insensitive.

Convenience vs. security and safety. Each user has to determine what they consider appropriate for their needs and circumstances. Anyone that has gone through the >hassle< of have their credit cards or identity hacked/compromised may have different thoughts on what is truly a hassle.

No, it’s 5, Apple Watch will not mirror your credit cards or debit cards.

The issuer of your cards, with no physical cards, will have the information you need in either their mobile app or on the secure website.

Google Pay (is there even such a thing as Microsoft Pay??) uses magnetic stripe emulation which is considered by banks, federal regulators and other financial services providers to me much less secure than Apple Pay. Apple Pay uses tokenization which is a much higher level of security in the fight against fraud, money laundering etc.

Let’s not even talk about privacy. If you’re happy sharing your personal information with merchants, then your all set and you can enjoy your convenience. Apple and its 1 billion plus users may value privacy and security more than you. But that’s the reason there are choices, so to each their own, I say. 😀😀

My old fashion wallet has always worked grandly, continuously and reliably. I was an early adopter of apple pay. It works for me with one card and that's a bit of a shame. Changing that card on multiple devices is also an extremely time consuming pain. I spend hours a month connecting some problem or another. This week: my music library disconnected from my Sonos system after, what, 5-7? years of usage. 4 hours to fix. Next week, time permitting, I'll spend another several hours trying to figure out why my photo files were removed from Photos and but into "pictures" file where I cannot look at them as a group. Maybe someday I'll find favorite photos that went missing a few years ago. This system gets messier and messier. I will not spend any time trying to get other cards, travel documents, contacts, text messages, emails etc. identical on all devices. It's sad.

Of course. On iPad, watch, mac and phone. actual wallet is much easier, slip the card into slot and ready when necessary wherever. it took three tries to remove apple card from mac. I still think apple products are becoming less efficient and less reliable. There are definitely device communications issues/differences that do not make sense. Not as happy as I once was, but I'll also probably never give them up.

Photos are my biggest problem now and I just don't have the time to deal with it. Makes me really sad.

What a friggin hassle!!!! I have 5 apple devices and I have to set wallet on each device? Actually, that's 4 because phone does mirror on watch. a couple of cards are only in my iPhone wallet (no hard copy no back to scan) and there is no way to get them copied into Mac. This expensive Mac is becoming useless in so many ways!!@!! So many problems. So many things not available. Very unhappy Mac customer. I have a PC for financial stuff. May be time to upgrade that and forget about the Mac. Apple Pay has been deleted and STILL pops up all the time. My manual wallet makes more sense period. One card on watch and I'll forgo using on other devices.
