SMC Panic - Assertion Failed

Hi,

My macbook froze then restarted and I get the below info at the start of the crash report. Any idea what caused this? Is it memory related. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

14-in MacBook Pro as your equipment line suggests is likely an Apple-silicon model released after 2020.

¿Is that correct?

That looks like the Power Management Unit (Hardware) did not say "all is well" when expected during startup. This may be a one-off issue, but more likely you have a Hardware issue related to power.

You should try to run the diagnostic, if possible.

it is unlikely to be caused by bad memory. The last model MacBook with replaceable memory was released in 2012. Every MacBook since has the memory soldered in place for maximum reliability.
