Discovered an Apple TV had gone “rogue” this am. Internet provider sent rapid fire notifications that we were exceeding our plan. The Apple TV used 1.3tb of data in roughly 24 hours. This Appl TV is used for our patio tv and hasn’t been active since last “patio” season. We have 3 of the same model, fyi.

Likely an issue with your ISP's plan on the amount of data you can use. Regarding the ATV, it won't go rogue but at the very least:
I'm having the exact same experience. Seeing 1.9TB overnight to a single one of my ATVs and to a similar url (uslax1-vip-bx-004.a.aaplimg.com). I power cycled the ATV and tried to turn off anything that would use bandwidth in the background, waiting to see if the behavior repeats itself.
I had this happen on another Apple TV a while back and didn't think much of it, as a power cycle made the issue go away, but now that it's happened twice I'm curious enough to try and figure out what happened. Were you able to find anything out?

The data usage exceeded the last 3 months cumulative. Clearly some sort of issue here.
The os is 17.4, which I believe is the latest.
