macOS high sierra cannot reinstall

hi I recently inherited an iMac 2017 with an intel i5 after backing up all the data on an external drive I decided to wipe the computer I went through the regular steps but once I got to the "reinstall macOS Ventura" stage it got stuck at nine hours remaining with no updates in the log I tried multiple troubleshooting methods but nothing worked so I stupidly decided to restart the Mac obviously since I had already wiped Mac OS it didn’t restart but upon trying to get into restor mode again it said "retiring from the internet" after this and some waiting it launched in the high sierra restore menu and upon trying to reinstall macOS it just says that "The recovery server could not be reached" any advice on how to fix this?

Apple's Recovery servers have been flaky. Reboot the router. Try to disconnect ethernet and use only Wi-Fi (or vice versa). Or download High Sierra and make a bootable installer.
