No. As long as your computer supports Monterey, you can install it.
Both in Ventura and Sonoma the machine keeps forgetting the mail passwords, the application install password and is generally far slower than my MACPRO 2013 with Monterey
It might be easier to start a question specifically about that problem. Mail passwords have become really tricky over the years. Installing Monterey might not help. In my recent experience, the best way to setup Mail is to start fresh. Don't try to migrate anything, including passwords. You have to set it up as new, and download all of your messages from the server again.
Is there a Monterey version with upgrades for this specific machine? In support page it seems to be supporting it.
You will have to setup a bootable USB installer. If that installer boots the computer, then you can run Monterey.
I strongly recommend using iCloud to migrate all of your information. Turn on iCloud for everything. Let it sync. Then, once you have the new (old) system installed, just login with your iCloud account. The only problem will be, of course, Mail. You'll have to set that up from scratch.
