Upgraded to Sonoma on Mac, now QB 2021 doesn’t work

I made a huge mistake and did the update on my Mac to Sonoma. Now on QuickBooks 2021 desktop for mac I can not log in or use back up copies. I try to reset password in QB and it does not work. This has been incredibly frustrating. I think I should go back to Monterey operating system for Mac, but everything I read it sounds so incredibly complicated. Any suggestions

Yes, I’m aware this is not an Apple issue and I should not have done the update. I would like to revert to an older Mac OS. As I stated it was my mistake and I realize I should not have done it.

I think it would be easier for you to simply to update your Quickbooks software. There is a patch for Quickbooks 2021 for Sonoma from Intuit, and there is also a newer version of Quickbooks (2023 I believe).

While I understand the thought is to back date Mac OS to a previous version, this is almost always a very very bad idea and is extremely complex and that assumes you have been backing up the computer daily. My recommendation is to contact the developers of QB and find out what their plans are to update their app and wait a bit.

I know this is a disruption in your work flow however it will be nothing compared to trying to back date Mac OS.
