2019 MacBook Pro clock is wrong after sleeping

I have a 2019 macbook pro currently running 14.4.1. Just recently if I put it to sleep or even turn it off, the clock stops running. The computer has been plugged in, so it isin't a battery issue. Unless these have a seperate little battery for date and time like PC's do. So now everytime I boot back up, I have to go to settings and click on & off the "set time and date automatically" toggle to update to the correct time. I have even tried leaving this setting off thinking it was an issue with the server. But the clock still stops when the laptop goes to sleep. Any ideas?

Hi,

At least several people here suffer from the Sonoma stop clock issue. Try to start up in Safe mode then normal boot could solve your issue.

Start up your Mac in safe mode – Apple Support (AU)

If it doesn't help, it could be possible that it may be Sonoma's bug, you should feed back directly to Apple.
