What are the best camera settings for optimal picture quality on iPhone XS?

Hi,

I have IPhone XS

I have tried both of the options in Camera settings, being “High Efficiency” and “Most Compatible” yet when I click photos on both Normal or portrait, even slightly, they seem to be loosing quality and poor pixels. I am not sure if there is something wrong with my settings cuz, I feel like the camera is pretty good at taking excellent pictures, particularly in a well lit environment and when the subject is at an optimal distance, say 2-3 meters.

Any suggestion/recommendation, worth trying or sharing your personal settings (either High Efficiency or Most Compatible or some other) that you use would be helpful.

Thanks

For optimal picture quality on an iPhone XS, consider the following camera settings:

1. **HDR**: Keep HDR (High Dynamic Range) enabled to capture more details in both bright and dark areas of your photos.

2. **Grid**: Turn on the grid to help you compose your shots using the rule of thirds.

3. **Keep it steady**: Make sure your hands are steady when taking a photo to avoid blurriness.

4. **Focus and exposure**: Tap on the screen where you want to focus to ensure sharpness, and adjust exposure by sliding your finger up or down on the screen.

5. **Portrait mode**: Use portrait mode for capturing beautiful depth-of-field effects for portraits.

6. **Optical image stabilization**: If available, keep this feature enabled for smoother shots, especially in low light conditions.

7. **Use the right lens**: The iPhone XS has dual lenses, so choose between the wide-angle and telephoto lens depending on your subject.

8. **Experiment with settings**: Explore different settings like adjusting the exposure, toggling the flash, or experimenting with different lighting conditions to find what works best for your photos.

Experimenting with these settings can help you achieve the best picture quality with your iPhone XS.
