When my watch updated to iOS 10.4 I lost my activity rings. The still show on my phone but not on the watch. I can’t figure out how to restore them.

Did you try to open the Fitness App on your paired iPhone and the Activity App on your Apple Watch?
This should trigger a sync between the devices.
Force restarting the Apple Watch and the iPhone might also do the trick:

Which Apple Watch and iPhone are you using?
Did you try to unpair and connect the watch again to your iPhone?
Did you set up the watch as a new device, instead of using the latest backup?

iPhone 15 Pro iOS 17.4.1 , Apple Watch 7 iOS ver 10.4. I just tried re-pairing both, No joy! Thanks for the suggestion!
