Try restarting your iPad. Depending on what model you have is what process you’ll need to follow.

If you have an iPad with a home button. Press and hold both the home button and the Sleep/Wake (power) button until you see the Apple Logo at which point you can release the buttons.

If you have an iPad without a home button:

  1. Quickly Press and Release Volume Up
  2. Quickly Press and Release Volume Down
  3. Press and hold the sleep/wake/siri button until you see the Apple Logo at which point you can release the button.

In both scenarios if you get a screen that comes up with “Slide to power off” ignore this message and continue to hold the button(s) until you see the device turn off and back on and show the Apple Logo. Once you see the Logo, release the buttons and allow the iPad to continue to boot as normal. After this is done, try again and see if this has corrected the issue. A lot of times, this restart can clear out little glitches and get things working normally again.
