To be clear, they are referring to the version of iOS, not the iPhone.
The iPhone has to be running iOS 17; as long as the iPhone 13 is updated to iOS 17 it will be fine.

Hi there sorry I don’t know too much only it’s a IPhone 13 and I know he loves the Apple Watch Ultra 2 I would be very upset if it failed to work.
