Stuck signing into FaceTime on Mac

I recently opened my Mac to use the Handoff feature to take a FaceTime call from my iPhone onto my Mac, as I have done countless times before. This time, however, I was met with a prompt to sign into FaceTime using my Apple ID credentials. Knowing my email and password associated with the same account that I use on my iPhone, I typed it in and followed the prompts to sign in. What I was met with was the dreaded hanging sign in loading wheel and it has stayed this way since.

I have followed all the troubleshooting tips on the Apple Support webpage to resolve this issue (here and here) and still cannot log into FaceTime on my Mac. It is stuck in the signing in phase.

Anyone else experiencing this issue or have any ideas how to resolve this?

Thanks

MacBook Air, macOS 14.4
