I’m getting emails about changing my Apple IDpassword - Spam ?

Hi all,

I’m getting messages to renew my Apple ID password from “Apple” via email and iMessage daily.

Is that spam?

I deleted it and did not click the provided link.

But I’m wondering if anyone else receives these kind of messages ?

If it is spam, is there anything I need to do about it?

No one I know has a MacBook so it has to be something sus. However, the "Apple ID" in the email is NOT my Apple ID. It's another login ID that has nothing to do with Apple. Repeated Emails to Change Password I keep receiving emails to change my apple ID password. I NEVER click through the email and always do it straight through the settings function. I am getting skeptical that it is a scan and last night noticed that while everything *looked* legit, it was calling me by a name that is very very close to mine, but not mine. Is anyone else having this issue? It's a scam, it has to be.

Your Apple ID was used to sign in to iMessage on a Macbook Air 13" Your Apple ID was used to sign in to iMessage on a MacBook Pro 13" I keep getting these emails from noreply@email.apple.com and I'm not sure that email is even legit. The message contains something like this : Dear xxx(blank), Your Apple ID (xxx@gmail.com) was used to sign in to iMessage on a MacBook Air 13" named “cckakaokdnkdk ” Date and Time: May 17, 2019, 14.19 UTC. If the information above looks familiar, you can ignore this message. If you have not recently signed in to a MacBook Air 13" with your Apple ID and believe someone may have accessed your account, go to Apple ID (https://appleid.apple.com) and change your password as soon as possible. I changed my Apple ID password 3 times and I even change my email password too. I also check my Apple ID device list to find where I'm signed in and it didn't show any suspicious devices. Can someone help me? Also, questions to support : Why do I keep getting these emails? Is the noreply@email.apple.com legit? Why does Apple send it to my everyday gmail rather than to my iCloud mail? I even turn on the two factor authentication but why is this keep happening?

I have not seen Apple messages that ask users to “renew” their Apple ID & Password. I have seen many different messages that inform people that their Apple ID is inactive, locked and so forth, but not needing renewed. There is no doubt, Spam can come at you via messages, email or directly from a website, but if all your apps and communications are working I would remain skeptical of those requests.
