iPhone 8 whatsapp not downloading or sending photos or videos on wifi

2 of my daughters have iPhone 8 phones. Recently whatsapp has started to fail to download or send photos or videos on wifi. It works fine on mobile data. They’ve tried updating WhatsApp; switching off their phones completely (rebooting), and memory isn’t an issue on their phones. Any ideas please?!
