How do I play a 32 bit game on my MacBook running Monterey?

Hi, I got "cod 4" for mac and it runs in 32bit

I tried rebooting using 3 & 2 keys and it didn't work

Also using "sudo systemsetup -setkernelbootarchitecture i386" in terminal resulted in "changes to kernel architecture failed to save!"

what can I do?

Mojave is the last macOS to support 32-bit apps. You can run Mojave or preferably some earlier macOS virtualized in later macOS via VMware Fusion or Parallels but that might be too slow for many games and HW acceleration might also not work.

If your Mac is older than Catalina's release you can use Internet Restore to reinstall Mojave on your Mac on a separate partition or external hard drive attached to the Mac. Some Macs once Catalina is installed will not support installing an older OS than Catalina on the internal drive. If the original OS of the Mac is Sierra or earlier, it won't see APFS formatted partitions from internet restore, and you'll need to format the partition HFS Extended GUID.
