Are repairs for physical external damage possible for my MacBook Pro?

Got careless and my MacBook took a bit of a fall. Everything works fine but took some physical damage smh. Not even sure what to call this...dent? misalignment?

Anyway, wondering if there is even service options for this kinda damage, or is it just something I gotta live with until I get a new one again lol

The corner where the screen closes is bent out of shape? or maybe the screen got misaligned? Not quite sure but when you open the screen you can get this tiniest feeling of something in that area "scraping".

Any insight on possible repair options (if they even exist for this external damage) would be helpful.

Be ready for some sticker shock. The display's metal case cannot be separately replaced in Retina Macbook Pros. it is part of a unified display assembly that must be replaced in toto.

We can't make estimates but user reports here of the "don't have AppleCare+" variety suggest that costs to replace a display assembly have ranged from US$500-700 parts+labor or more depending on screen size.

As Apple's current policy seems to be "repair" over "repair," I hold little hope that there is a cheaper Apple option. Hopefully the right person a the genius bar sees that they can take the thingin do a alignment and send you one your way.

The pachyderm on the premises is the possibility of some yet undiscovered damage, especially to the hinge attachment point on te main body o fthe computer.

It is not my intention to scare but to prepare you in case this proves to be more than a minor incident.
